Our Story

ES Squared is a long-standing electrical safety and maintenance training and consulting company that strives to be the most passionate, experienced and knowledgeable in the industry. We have the most effective trainers in the world who work tirelessly to bring safety to your organization.

Our programs are designed for clients who are highly motivated to have a safe workplace and properly maintained facility. We are passionate about electrical safety and maintenance and have the necessary skills and strategies to help a company create a strong electrical safety culture. We believe every safety program can be improved. Zero injuries can only be achieved after we achieve zero near-misses.

Our Team

ES Squared consultants are experienced with proven records in leading electrical safety programs at a variety of industrial and commercial facilities. Always practical, our consultants know the importance of keeping everything simple and straightforward. Our training programs incorporate multiple learning techniques and are designed to repeat principles and concepts for better retention. We meet your needs and improve your program as quickly as possible.

All consultants are knowledgeable on codes and standards including OSHA, NFPA, IEC, NECA, NETA, NEMA, PEARL, UL and have representation on NFPA Technical Committees for NFPA 70, 70B, and 70E.

Meet Michael Kovacic

With over 20 years of experience in the electrical safety industry, Michael has participated in or managed teams for safety audits for millions of square feet of facilities, representing over 150 heavy industrial facilities for major corporations and government organizations. With a background in accident investigation and legal assistance, Michael has a strong knowledge of European safety requirements as well.

Mr. Kovacic has an extensive knowledge of various standards, including DOD/DOE requirements and Army, Navy and Air Force safety programs, which has allowed him to successfully conduct various standard and customized courses on the OSHA Standards, the National Electrical Code, and NFPA 70E for the U.S. Department of Labor at the OSHA Training Institute in Chicago, IL., various State OSHA Departments, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), Bureau of Worker’s Compensation (Ohio) and numerous major private corporations such as Aluminum Company of America (Alcoa) and Heinz. He is also a specialist in NFPA 70E, including arc flash hazard and safety-related work practices. His expertise has allowed for co-authoring and rewriting of complete electrical safety programs for major corporations and government entities around the country.

With his unique experience in engineering, manufacturing, installation, and occupational safety, Michael can relate extremely well to students from many different backgrounds, making him an excellent instructor for any organization.
